Mint , like many other herbs, has a plethora of health benefits. It is known to be one of the oldest herbs which aids in digestion, helps to cure colds, skin irritations, eliminates toxins from the body.. you get the point – well all this after i was doing some research on this herb. I love making mint chutney and use it as a spread in sandwiches, salad dressings, with yogurt and Indian flat breads (read parathas, rotis 🙂 ), with kebabs and grilled chicken. It takes 10 min to prepare this chutney but the strong and pungent flavor adds a great taste in one’s meal.
Ingredients:
A bunch of mint leaves
A bunch of coriander
1 small onion sliced
2 cloves of garlic
I green chilli
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
Salt to taste
1/2 teaspoon of brown sugar or jaggery

Dry roast the onions, garlic and cumin seeds on a flat pan until they turn brownish.
